Racon Gunner Dispatches
One Mind. Every Age.
A knight, a lawman, a soldier, and an explorer should not feel like the same costume on the same statistics.
The age changes. The mind remains.
History changes the equipment. It changes the law, the battlefield, the language of duty, and the cost of disobedience.
It does not remove the human mind.
PsychScape Historical was built around that continuity. Its core system is presented as a single-book foundation for play across historical ages. The group can move from one period to another without treating every new age as a demand to learn an entirely different foundation.
The point is not to make every period mechanically interchangeable. The point is to keep the people inside those periods psychologically alive.
The same tendency becomes a different problem
Discipline may keep a formation intact in one age and harden into disastrous obedience in another. Curiosity may reveal the route through unfamiliar ground or draw a character past the warning everyone else respected. Agreeableness may preserve a fragile alliance or make refusal arrive too late.
PsychScape does not require you to play yourself. The rules support beginning with a real Big Five result, generating a profile randomly, or adjusting the numbers to create a mind unlike your own. Recognition can be uncomfortable. Invention can reveal a blind spot you would never have chosen for yourself.
What remains when the age changes?
The armor changes. The oath changes. The enemy changes. The mind still has to decide what it fears, protects, trusts, and sacrifices.
PsychScape puts character under history's pressure: one core foundation, Big Five-shaped characters, and historical choices your group will remember.
You do not need another shelf before you can begin. You need an age your table wants to enter and a character worth testing there.
The century changes. The pressure remains. Build the mind, then choose the age.
